When it comes to power supply, I believe we all know that DC is an essential part of our daily life, so is DC power supply, which is a device that maintains the formation of stable voltage and current in the circuit. Such as dry batteries, batteries, DC generators, etc. So what are the technical indicators of DC power supply?

When it comes to power supply, I believe we all know that DC is an essential part of our daily life, so is DC power supply, which is a device that maintains the formation of stable voltage and current in the circuit. Such as dry batteries, batteries, DC generators, etc. So what are the technical indicators of DC power supply?
There are generally two kinds of technical indicators of DC power supply: one is called characteristic indicators, which mainly includes the adjustment range of current and voltage allowed for input and output; The other is called the quality index, which is mainly used to measure the stability of the output current and voltage, including the voltage regulation coefficient, output resistance, ripple voltage.
1, the voltage regulation coefficient and voltage adjustment rate: the voltage regulation coefficient refers to the relative change of the input voltage caused by the relative change of the output voltage in the case of the load current and the ambient temperature. The voltage adjustment rate refers to the relative change of the output voltage when the relative change of the input voltage is ±10%. Both the voltage regulation coefficient and the voltage adjustment rate indicate the influence of the input voltage change on the output voltage, so only one of them can be tested.
2, output resistance and current adjustment rate: the output resistance is the same as the output resistance of the amplifier, and its value is the absolute value of the ratio of the change in output voltage and the change in output current when the input voltage is unchanged. Current adjustment rate: The relative change in output voltage when the output current changes from 0 to the maximum value. Both the output resistance and the current adjustment rate indicate the effect of the load current change on the output voltage, so you only need to test one of them.
3, Ripple voltage: the AC voltage component superimposed on the output voltage. The peak-to-peak value observed by oscilloscope is generally in the order of millivolts. Ac millivoltmeter can also be used to measure its effective value, but because the ripple is not a sine wave, there is a certain error, the general DC power supply ripple voltage VP-P≤10mV.
